Advanced Course in Commercial Art

The Guru Nanak Dev University's Faculty of Visual Arts and Performing Arts offers Advanced Course in Commercial Art to its students. The course structure for it is as follows:

Paper – I

Layout with Computer Setting (Practical)
Preparation of Layouts with Computer Setting final art work for magazines and newspapers including photo composing, photography, illustration caption and colour scheme on theme Industrial, Social and Educational.

Paper – II
Fashion and Product Photography (Practical)

Basic knowledge of fashion and product photography like composition, light and shade, exposing of film, developing and printing of black / white photography.

Topics of Photography Garments, Jewellery, Cold drinks, Fashion, Industrial,
Social and Educational etc.

Paper – III
Project work carries market research of any four products. Survey report of product, working in advertising agencies or Free lance commercial designer. Students have to prepare file and notes in writing about what they have learnt
during study. They will prepare the project after discussion with class teacher.

Paper – IV
Packagings, Folders
Final art work of packaging like carry bags, three dimensional packagings.

Topic: Industrial and Educations, designs should be prepared with the help of photography & illustration, theme: Tourism, Family planning, save petrol,
Movements, child care etc.
