Course objective: The program focuses on providing the students with the information of main points & practical use of the windows & Linux in a networking environment. Skill & knowledge should be taught from perspective of networking environment.

Course Outcome: This practical course on System administration will teach the students about installing, maintaining, configuring & tuning of an operating system in the networking environment. Participants will learn how to perform basic administration task like how to add & to mange users, to create & to maintain the file system.

This program will provide the skill in Windows and Linux operating systems. Student competent in the following fields can get computer course & system maintenance skills.

III. Window Server 2008 [Ten days]
IV. Red Hat Linux Enterprise Linux 5 Admin [Fifteen days]
V. grep, egrep, sed, and awk [Two Days]
VI. Bash scripting [Five days]
VII. Perl - language [Three days]
VIII. Perl for Linux Admin [Three days]
IX. Perl for Windows Admin [Four days]

Charges : SW501 : Rs. 19000 Service tax not included (Current service tax rate 10.3 percent).
Complete Tuition Fee/Examination fee will be waived for SC or ST students. Participants will have to contact the Training Officer to get the information on fees payable by them for the program material & other charge.


Requirement: BE/BTech, BSc/MSc(IT/Computer Science/Electronics), MCA, BCA, BCom (CA), MBA (System) or equivalent of any of these. Degree holders with PGDCA.

Admission
Participants will be selected on the basic of the marks obtained in entrance exam Only the Individual call letters through email will be delivered to the students for admission purpose. The admission procedure for selected participants will be on 8th march'11 with all the required papers (original & attested copies) before 10 hr. in the morning. Students offering admission should remit the complete fee or the 1st installments of the fee charges on the same counseling day, failing to do the same.. Admission will not be guaranteed. The qualifying degree certificate original papers or course completion certificates/ marks lists up to the last semester/year examination will be produced for the verification & the attested copy should be submitted in the center.
SC or ST students will have to submit the ORIGINAL Community Certificate ( in English/Hindi) issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar

Successfully passed students will also get Placement support from the institute.
Classes & lab timing
The classes & practical times starts from 9.15 am till 12.30 pm & 2.00 pm till 5.15 pm Monday till Friday.
