Course programme

Semester - I
The first three months is basic art foundation. The students will be exposed to the basics of drawing and more importantly good visuals. Starting with contour drawings and understanding values, the course will grade up to still life studies and anatomical studies culminating in adapting this understanding into cartoon characters.

Semester - II
The next 3 months will be devoted to understanding the principles of animation and applying them to objects and characters. Starting with simple object animation, the course will grade up through bio mechanical actions to basic character acting

Semester - III
The next 6 months will take the students through an understanding of pre production, post production and character acting. The students will also be introduced to 3D animation using Maya as the medium.

During these three months the students will explore the advanced techniques of digital character animation. The emphasis is on the single and multiple character action and interaction in a story context.

The students will be required to finally create a short film in 3D (Maya) performing the complete production process under the guidance of the studio staff.
