RESEARCH FOR VIDEO PRODUCTION

PAPER-A
o Role of researcher-knowledge, attributes and skills of researcher.
o Research process-starting method, using sources, collecting information;
presenting findings, illustrative material, using libraries-books, other print
material, photos, films, videos, tapes, other sources-interview, preparing and
conducting.
o Pre-production research, ideas origination, developing treatment, methods of
presentation selling the production.
o Research for characters-dialogues-history-economics-political-cultural and social
status.
o Research for writing narration-commentary research for visual design, location,
setting etc.

Paper-B

o Research for talents.
o Research for make-up costumes, properties.
o Various aspects of research for TV, commercial.
o Analysis of T.V. Commercial.
o Analysis of make-up, costume in films and TV, Serials.

PAPER-II- ADVANCED VIDEO PRODUCTIION

o Creative production techniques.
o Grammar of production and direction.
o Art direction-imagination, illusion, reality, craft-setting and staging.
o Basic design objective and practical aspects
o Movements.
o Costume, make-up.
o Special effects.
o Location selection and other production related aspect.
o Director-actor relation.
o Grammar of acting-complete process, body language, dialogue, inner life.

Paper-B
o Production of music video.
o Make up for T.V. artists/cinema with practical exercise of lighting on sets.

PAPER-III- EDITING AND WRITING SKILLS FOR TELEVISON

o Technical and creative connections.
o Dialogue sequence, action sequence, and comedy song
o Multi media.
o Digital video effects.
o What is narrative?
o Shooting script and dialogue.
o Writing elements of non-fiction narrative.
