This course is launched to progress the customary of trauma mgmt in India, A.T.L.S. India in connection with American College of Surgeon under the auspice of A.I.I.M.S. New Delhi has selected Indian Institute of Emergency Medical Service as a teaching site to conduct ATLS Program in South India.

Programs Aim:


Base on well recognized values & aims of trauma mgmt., the program is planned to offer doctors with 1 suitable technique for S.A.F.E., instant mgmt & the essential knowledge essential to:

** Evaluate the patient's situation speedily & precisely
** Save & steady the patient on precedence
** Conclude if the patient requires will probably surpass a facility capability
** Assemble for the patient inter hospital transmit; &
** Guarantee that best care is provide each pace of the way.

The candidate program is a two & half day program, consists of pre & post program assessments, core content lecture, case presentation, discussion, and enlargement of life save controlling ability, practical laboratory understanding, & a ending presentation ability assessment.

Criterion for success conclusion of the A.T.L.S.:

** Concentrate on the whole program.
** Hold to program content & exhibit practical skill as outline in the A.T.L.S. manual
** Accomplish a least score of 80 percent on the written post assessment; &
