Application Development for SAP Business ByDesignopenSAP
What you'll learn on the course
Many small and medium-sized enterprises or subsidiaries of large corporations have chosen SAP Business ByDesign to run their business. SAP Business ByDesign is a complete, integrated suite that can run your whole enterprise, covering financials, human resources, sales, procurement, customer service, and supply chain. This cloud-based business management solution is accessible from anywhere, and it is constantly updated to ensure that it is always ahead of the game.
The business needs of small enterprises can be very specific and vary from company to company.
Using plenty of demonstrations and giving you access to SAP Cloud Applications Studio, this openSAP course will teach you how to develop add-ons to meet your specific business needs.
It also allows SAP partners and customers to increase their business by selling their add-ons to other companies interested in the same solution.
- Application developers
- Basic understanding of business processes as mapped in SAP Business ByDesign (this is not covered in this course)
- Basic programming skills including, but not limited to, algorithms and object-oriented programming
- Experience with SOAP and/or REST-based Web services
If your primary interest in taking this course is to get a technical overview of application development for SAP Business ByDesign, you do not need access to a development system.
If you are interested in developing your own code, we invite you to take part in exercises using an SAP Business ByDesign system. SAP Business ByDesign partner companies who have already a SAP Business ByDesign development license are asked to use their own systems.
For learners who do not have an SAP Business ByDesign licence, you can access a trial version of the Studio, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). While the trial version is free, there are some costs associated with the use of AWS. Please refer to our FAQ page for detailed information about costs and conditions. Please ensure that you suspend your instance when you are not using the system to avoid incurring additional costs.
