The English and Foreign Languages University offers B.A: Mass Communication and Journalism (Hons) course to its students. The course structure for it is as follows:
This new course in Mass Communication and Journalism offers a student who has passed his Intermediate (10 plus 2) examination an opportunity to acquire comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge required for a wide range of careers in the rapidly growing media field.
Each academic year will consist of two semesters, and in each semester you will be registering for four courses. In all, during your three years with us, you will be taking 24 courses. The first four semesters will introduce you to the history, theory, production principles, and key debates that are shaping the field of media. In the final two semesters, you will choose an area of specialization in which you will complete an internship with a media organization and write a project report.
What makes our programme different is that in addition to the 20 courses you’ll be doing in the area of Mass Communication and Journalism, we also provide you an opportunity to learn a foreign language. You have a wide range to choose from: Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Spanish. You may choose to specialize in one of these languages for four semesters. If you do not wish to learn a foreign language, you can take courses in the areas of English Literature or Cultural Studies.
