Goal :
To Establish the department as a Centre of Excellence in the area of Computer Engineering
Computer Engineering Department was stablished in 1984 to offer an Undergraduate program in computer engineering. In 1986, a Postgraduate Programme in Computer Science came into existence ,which was later diversified to Postgraduate Programme in Computer based Automation. The department has well equipped laboratories to support computing including Networking, robotics, automation, multimedia, graphics, hardware and Neuro-Fuzzy Control. These laboratories have been equipped under World Bank Project IMPACT and other direct central assistance grants. The department has also established a well equipped Center for Advanced Automation. The research work carried out by the faculty members has received international recognition and awards from time to time .Other than this ,the department also has latest audio-visual teaching aids for the students .The department has implemented an intranet to facilitate training in web Technology.

The Department offers bachelor degree in Computer Engineering.
