Course programme

The Computer Science Engineering department was established in the year 2002 with an initial intake of 60 students. From the academic year 2007, in addition to starting the new course in Information Science Engineering, an increase in intake for the Computer Science Engineering from 60 to 90 has also been sanctioned. The department has well qualified experienced faculty and technical supporting staff.

The department has well established state of the art computer lab, networked with Windows 2003 server family environment for students, internet & intranet connecting all the departments.

The department supports over 200, Pentium-IV & Dual Core nodes interconnected by a switched Ethernet and internet with the speed of 2 Mbps.
The department is constantly modernizing the infrastructure and laboratory facilities. It is endowed with well equipped laboratories in several of the listed laboratories below:

The department has conducted a National level Conference & technical talk delivered by Mr. Shrivardhan S Consultant to Q-Soft Systems and solutions Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, On "Oracle Technology" on 18th Oct 2007. Dr. Vasant D Barve gave a lecture on "Role of Computer graphics in Education: Basics and Challenges ahead" on 13th Sep 2007.

The department has sponsored a group of students to participate in Microsoft's All India Inter college "Go-A-Live challenge". This is an effort to introduce communication and collaboration services and bring college across India into the Information technology era through a joint interactive effort driven by the students and faculty.

The main objective is to setup centre of excellence in Research & Development, maintain consistency in results and placements.
