B.E. :Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) is a unit of Sri Venkateswara Educational and Health Trust (SVEHT). The Trust was founded on August 1, 1984 at the behest and with the blessings of His Holiness Pujyashri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipathi Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. In November 1984 the then State Government granted permission to conduct courses in Engineering leading to Bachelors Degree in Engineering in the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communicaiton Engineering and Civil Engineering, awarded by University of Madras.

The course of Electrical Engineering was started in the year 1985 to handle the Electrical Engineering subjects of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments. The course started offering the B.E degree programme in Electrical and Electronics from 1994 and M.E. degree programme in Power Electronics and Drives from 2002.
