Network Programming and Administration

Programming: Communication Protocols, Connection Oriented, Connection Less, Working with Network Layer & Transport Layer, Addressing, Ports, Socket Programming, Two-tier, three-tier applications, database application, dynamic web page buildup, SMTP, Time Server, Echo Server, TFTP, FTP modeling using Client-Server approach.

Administration: Configuring TCP/IP stack, Firewall, Proxy, Domain Name System, Web Server, Mail Server, User creation, quota assignment, profiling, Network File System, Network Information System, Network Management System.

Laboratory work: Configuring TCP/IP Stack, ICMP, FTP, HTTP Working, socket programming, Web Server, Firewall, DNS implementation, Virtual hosting by name & address, Two-tier & three-tier application development.
