B.E. Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering is as old as human civilization with its beginning placed next to stone age; yet it is current and will remain current for ever. The department of Mechanical Engineering keeps pace with latest developments in Mechanical Engineering and allied fields. The department has a team of well qualified teaching staff, skilled technical staff and fully equipped laboratories.
The courses offered in this Department are
BE Mechanical Engineering
The BE degree program which is offered as per the University curriculum, prepares students for a career as mechanical engineers and provides specialization in a wide choice of subjects as optional. The CAD/CAM centre, thermal laboratory, metrology laboratory, machine shop, metallurgical laboratory, dynamics, fluid mechanics laboratory attached to the department are equipped to provide excellent training in the respective areas. The department has also established close links with major industries in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Trichy and Bangalore.
