Course programme

The University of Mumbai offers B.A. IN GERMAN (Integrated Course) to its students. The course structure for it is as follows:

This integrated course will enable the students to attain a B.A. degree in German. Besides giving in-depth knowledge of German language, literature and culture this course also promotes possibility of intercultural studies leading to a better understanding of each other. In order not to neglect the basic subjects, which are compulsory for the First Year and Second Year B.A. courses in colleges, we have incorporated subjects like Foundation Course and Communication Skills at the First and Second Year B.A. level which will also lead to an all-round development of the students. In the First and the Second Year B.A. programme students will choose from one of the foreign or regional languages offered by the various Departments of the University of Mumbai.

In keeping with the requirements of the changing times the course is structured in such a way that the students are equipped with language, literature and technical knowledge and are thus armed with additional qualification. The students will graduate with German as the major subject and will also have additional knowledge of another foreign language chosen by him/her.
