B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science

The growth of the Indian IT industry has led to an increased demand for computer professionals. In the wake of rapid changes in technology, the University of Delhi has restructured the B.I.T. course as B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science. B.Sc.(Hons.) Computer Science is a semester program spread over six semesters especially designed to cater to the need of IT industry. The course imparts the theoretical and programming skills to take up professional positions in the industry.
The course was introduced in our college in the year 2004-05. The college is contributing in its own inimitable way to the development of Information Technology by offering this course with the help of efficient and highly qualified teachers and through a well-equipped computer lab. The course provides rigorous foundations of the concepts of Computer Science and Information Technology. The college computer laboratories are fully equipped and are continuously upgraded to ensure the market relevance of acquired skills.
The students of B.Sc.(H) computers were well placed in the highly professional computer companies in the past years. The students were also selected for higher studies in graded computer institutions through rigorous selection test and interview. A number of activities are organised by the department of computer science from time to time. It organizes industrial trips and workshops on practical implementation of computer hardware and digital equipments.
