B.Tech. Civil Engineering

Offering 21 subjects , the course offered in Civil Engineering also has facilities for 4 electives. Well equipped laboratories like Fluid Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Survey, Structure etc. adorn the department. Presently the department is introducing Dynamics of Structures Laboratory mainly to be used for P.G. students and research. Provided with the LAN facility the department offers research facilities for its students. Under the new generation of TEQIP funds , a new Hydrology machine for Weather Forecasting in North Bengal has been bought with other modern machine like Digital Crushing M/C,Computer Siever, Digital Theodolite etc . The department also provides testing facilities for main construction in entire North Bengal, Sikkim and Bhutan. Right now, the department is moving towards further glory by working towards opening of postgraduate courses.
