B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering

At the under graduate level, computer science and engineering is taught as a theoretical study of computation and algorithmic reasoning. It is a four year course comprising of subjects like theory of computation, analysis of algorithms, databases, computer graphics and systems analysis, among others. Computer programming is taught, as a vessel for the support of the fields of computer science and engineering. Programming languages that are taught include C++, Java and C# among others.The main aim is to provide students with a thorough understanding of the technology and also to train them in practical skills in applying the knowledge gained. This training builds up the confidence level of the students.In the third or fourth semester they are motivated to do an in-plant training for a period of 15 days.This gives them the opportunity to work along with software/hardware engineers.
During the last two semesters, students have elective subjects and project work.
