Augmented with a modern computer center, the department offers the best and updated practical training. The Computer Center incorporates various Laboratories such as Computer Programming Laboratory-1, Computer Programming Laboratory - II and Internet & Multimedia Laboratory.

It has a built up area of 3600 sq. ft. and located in the ground floor of the Main Block, is one of the most modern computer center in Tamil Nadu. It has more than 150 computers. More specifically, the Computer Center has 25 Compaq Intellistations (Workstations) with excellent features & capacity and a processor capable of analyzing Element Models and carrying out

3-dimensional computer aided solid modeling. The necessary high-end packages such as IDEAS, EPIGRAPHIC, ANSYS, ADAMS, are also available. The Computer Centre has the capacity and capability to undertake designing and virtual modeling of complex machine components such as those used in Space Research, Automobile and other industries.

All the computers in the campus, including those in the hostels and department are connected by means of a network so that the students from the hostel and the staff and students from different departments can have direct access to the facilities in the Computer Center round the clock. This college is one of the firsts to provide such a campus-wide network facility. The Computer Center has licensed packages to facilitate work in DOS, UNIX, LINIUX, WINDOWS AND WINDOWS NET. Also, it has the commonly required latest licensed versions of ORACLE, VISUAL STUDIO AND MS OFFICE. Under the auspices of the Association of Computer Engineers, special lectures on various topics. are arranged for the benefit of students and staff. Study tours are arranged for the students regularly.
