The first year of the B.Tech(Computer Science and Engineering) academic program has common classes for all the departments. The students from all departments are conglomerated together in various sections. Students from all the departments offering B.Tech course are present in any given section.
The academic year is divided into two semesters. Both the semesters have two cycle tests followed by the semester examination.
