Course programme

Computer Engineering is a place where both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science courses get combined. It gives training in electrical engineering, software design and hardware-software integration instead of just software engineering or electrical engineering. A Computer engineering student studies the design of digital hardware and software systems including communications systems and computers. They are involved in many aspects of computing from the designing of individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers to circuit design.
The course includes Programming Techniques and Basic Sciences at first year level. In second and third year the course includes basic and core computer engineering subjects. The advanced topics such as Advanced Microprocessors, Intelligent Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Software Engineering, System Security, Distributed Computing, Multimedia Systems are included as compulsory subjects in the final year.

The Bachelor of Computer Engineering Programme is accredited by the "National Board of Accreditation" of the All India Council For Techncial Education.
The Department has well-qualified faculty members who are specialized in areas like artificial Intelligence, neural networks, Computer Architecture, programming languages, Internet, DBMS, programming, networking, software engineering and multimedia applications. The students are encouraged and trained in order to face the challenges of the competitive world and are equipped with the knowledge and skills required in the industrial and technical sectors. The students are also encouraged to carry out mini-projects for their future projects.
