Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering was established in the year 1995. It offers B.E. Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering Programme with the sanctioned of 40. National board of Accreditation has given accreditation for this programme for a period of 3 years from july 2004.

Department of Electronics & Instrumentation has Analog and Digital lab, Transducer lab, Electrical And Electronics Measurement lab, Process Control lab, Design project lab.

Result
The department maintains more than 90 percent pass continuously. It has a number of university rank holders to its credit. M/s. A.C.Neilson & Sun TV have jointly conducted a survey among students and parents of Tamil Nadu and ranked the programme offered by this department as 5th overall among engineering colleges in Tamilnadu. The students of the Departments are eligible to pursue post graduate programmes in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Laser & Electro Optical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Avionics & Mechatronics, etc.

Passed out students of the department have joined for higher studies in Anna University, IITs, VIT and a few universities in USA & Canada.

After graduation Engineers of E&I can join in Petro Chemical Industries, Manufacturing companies, NLC, ETPS, Calibration and Testing Labs, Software companies and Oil Refineries, etc.
