B.Tech in Information Science Engineering

The new millennium spirit that drives M V J College of Engineering is evident in the courses we offer, which are both contemporary and have great future potential. Conventional streams of engineering share space with emerging disciplines at this institution, which believes in training its students to be at the cutting edge of tomorrow's technologies. Our courses therefore have been thoughtfully selected to focus on areas/industries that will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the world and driving its economy.


The four-year courses that lead to a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (BE), adopt a University-mandated semester system of 8 semesters. Each semester is of 16 weeks duration. University examinations are held at the end of each term, every year. Here's a brief glimpse of the courses offered at MVJ College of Engineering.


Both computer science engineers and Information Science engineers develop hardware and software. But Information Science mainly concentrates on management of information. . In particular the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information from anywhere, anytime.

For the fulfillment of its teaching and research goals, the Department has competent faculty members with a high degree of excellence who keeps pace with the current Developments in their fields of specialization.

In order to enrich the students technical knowledge and for exposure to the current Industrial scenario the Department sponsors the students to various workshops conducted by leading world class industries like INFOSYS, WIPRO, MICROSOFT, and SAP LABS just to name a few. Many leading companies, some of which include IBM, SATYAM COMPUTERS, CARRITOR, TEXAS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, ICICI BANK, DSL Software, Zenith Software Solutions, etc, have recruited students of our department.
