B.Tech in Information Technology

This department offers a 4-year B-Tech degree programme in Information Technology, on a semester pattern from second semester to eighth semester, the first semester being common to all branches of Engineering. The students are trained in the areas of computer hardware and software engineering and communication.

The department has excellent infrastructure facilities to provide quality education and training in Information Technology.

The department organises a technical symposium called "ICON" to enrich student learning.

The students' performance is assessed continuously through monthly tests, assignments and model examination and by a semester - end university examination. All undergraduate students are encouraged to work on individual projects as well as group projects as per the university regulations.

The computing facilities are available to students and staff till late night on all days. The department organises specialised training programmes in the advanced areas of computing in collaboration with enterprises such as BITECH.

The department also organises weekly seminars and lectures on advanced topics by leading professionals from educational institutions and the industry as regular features. Annual National seminars, lecture Programmes and Industrial visits enrich student learning.
