Course programme

The department was established in the year 1993 and the first batch of students graduated from the department in the year 1997. Nearly 60 students are admitted each year into the Bachelors Programme through AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Examination) and around 10% of the total number of students are admitted through NRI and DASA quota. The B.Tech programme is an eight semester (four year) course, the curriculum being updated regularly with inputs from industries and reputed educational institutions. The department with its state of the art laboratories and young and dynamic faculty is involved in providing quality education at both UG and PG levels.

The first year of the B.Tech(Instrumentation and Control Engineering) academic program has common classes for all the departments. The students from all departments are conglomerated together in various sections. Students from all the departments offering B.Tech course are present in any given section.

The academic year is divided into two semesters. Both the semesters have two cycle tests followed by the semester examination.
