This is also reflected in our campus placement which has been 100% year after year with our students getting placed in the top industrial houses of the country. About 20% of our students proceed to top universities abroad to pursue their higher education.The calibration facilities developed by the department are in accordance with the National Standards for calibration of pressure, temperature and speed measurement. These facilities are utilized by ISO 9000 certified companies.
The department has an excellent industrial interaction and contributes to the industry by offering consultancy services. Some of them are : Heavy Alloy Penetrator Project (HAPP), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and its ancillaries.
The first year of the B.Tech(Mechanical Engineering) academic program has common classes for all the departments. The students from all departments are conglomerated together in various sections. Students from all the departments offering B.Tech course are present in any given section.
The academic year is divided into two semesters. Both the semesters have two cycle tests followed by the semester examination.
