The department of Mechanical Engineering was offered here with the basic objective of providing multi-facial education in the field of Mechanical Stream. Since we are offering Automobile Engineering , special emphasis on the orientation will be given apart from conventional methodologies. Right from its inception, the department has been offering well built infrastructure facilities with different laboratories like Production Engineering Lab, Machine Shop, CAD/CAM Lab, Metrology Lab, Fluid Mechanics & Machinery Lab, Instrumentation Lab etc.

The Department strives to produce eminent professionals tuned to the real time working environment. The strength of the department relies on the efficient students who are made aware of the increasing demands of the industry and shape their skills accordingly. The Internet and the various lab facilities are made available to the students. Department is equipped with Iron CAD 8.0, Edge CAM, CADIAN Mech 2006 7 ALGOR NASTRAN.

Mini Project
A mini project is included during VI semester in order to develop practical skills and design logic in Mechanical Stream.

Composite Materials, Numerical Analysis, Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Inventory & Supply Chain Management, Design of Jigs & Fixtures, Tool Engineering & Design and Quality Engineering & Management.

Seminar
Each student will give a seminar topic on futuristic technologies in order to develop subject know how and presentation skills.

Main Project
Each student group consisting of not more than five members will develop a complete project module with the assistance of MNC's like BHEL, HMT etc., which covers latest and advanced topics in Mechanical Engineering.

Viva Voce
Viva voce is based on subjects studied for the B.Tech course, mini project, Seminar Report and final year project work of the student.
