B. Tech.( Power Engineering)

This four year B.Tech. in Power Engineering programme conducted by the Institute is the first of its kind in India. The programme is aimed towards the youngsters who are in search of a brilliant career in the Power Industry, the backbone of all industrial actions. The course syllabus covers the consistent inputs specially offered in B.Techs., program & lays special stress on Indian Electricity Act 1956, grooming skilled Engineering Executives for the Power Sectors. The programme was commenced at Durgapur Institute from the year 2002-2003 along with other establishments & sanctioned by AICTE & affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. The candidates can take admission in this programme through WBJEE or AIEEE
