Course programme
The new and revised structure of BA (VS) programme has been implemented
in the reguler stream w.e.f. the academic year 2005-06. The overall
structure of the Vocational Studies Progrmme includes a total of 12
courses over a 3-year period with 4 courses taught and examined each
year.
Each Programme comprises of four categories of courses--
i.e. Vocational courses. Foundation course, Languge courses and Inter-disciplinary courses.
(a) Vocational courses are courses that provide basic and contemporary knowledge to the student in the chosen vocational programme.
(b) Language courses are courses to enhance lignuistic skills and literary sensibilities in students. (As applicable in B.A. of Delhi University)
(c) Foundation course is a course that familiarizes the student with computers and improves communication skills, enhancing the employment prospects of the student and paving the foundation for a better grasp of the Vocational courses.
(d) Inter-disciplinary courses are courses from other disciplines that complement the vocational courses and give additional competencies to the student.
