Course programme

The animation & DFM degree exposes you to the basics of media studies with a special emphasis on Consumer Psychology, Advanced Animation, Specialized Graphics for Film & TV. You'll also learn all the nuances of multimedia from Web Designing to Clay Modeling, Sculpting to technicalities of 3D Modeling and Character Animation. This will be followed by exploration of Advanced Animation tools and Editing tricks. The last semester is solely dedicated to assignments, research work and creation of portfolios.

Semester I :
History of Film, Media & Communication, Film Theory and Photography, Computer Fundamentals, Design Theory, Sculpture, Drawing and Painting, Basics of Business Communication, Physics and Environmental studies.

Semester II :
Visualization & Scripting for VFX, Basic Direction, Story Boarding, Editing Aesthetics, Budgeting & Scheduling, Digital Cinematography, Lighting, Live Sound Recording, Sound Designing, Digital Graphics and Imaging, Web Development, Extended view on Business Communication, Physics & Environmental Studies

Semester III :
Advanced Scripting & Visualization, Advanced Direction, Acting Theories, Production Design & Make - up with lots of Workshops, Projects & Travel Exercises, Direction, Acting, Web Animation, Online Publishing, Pre - Production for Animation, Video Production for Multimedia.

Semester IV :
A - Z of Directing Documentary Films, Music Videos & Short Films, Film Appreciation & Critics, Modeling and Fun Demands of Animation.

Semester V :
Media Literacy, Media Relations, Media Communication, Marketing & Promotions, Business Agreements, Contract Issues, Intellectual Property, Copyright Digital Property Rights, Marketing & Advertising and Consumer Psychology, Post - Production & Communication Ethics.

Semester VI :
Advanced Post Production, Advanced MIDI, Advanced DAW Techniques (Protools and Nuendo), Audio Portfolio Project. Internship for hands on experience and industry applications with Specialized Projects on Making a Short Fiction Film and Making a Documentary Film.
