BA in Sociology

Under the Bangalore University system, each degree student has to study 3 core subjects. Sociology if offered as part of the following combinations:

1. PES - Political Science, Economics, Sociology
2. PYES - Psychology, Economics, Sociology
3. HES - History, Economics, Sociology
4. CFS - Communication Studies, French, Sociology

The course follows the semester system, and comprises of a total of 6 semesters (3years). Each semester deals with different modules in the subject. The students are tested by means of the Continuous Internal Evaluation system, which includes tests, projects and assignments. Each semester is concluded with the end semester examinations.
