Today there is a demand for 20 million computer professionals and the demand is likely to increase day by day. The Indian Software industry has grown from Rs. 17 crores to about Rs. 20000 crores with in a decade. The need for trained computer professionals is growing in all segments of industry, as on today the demand is far more than the supply. Bachelor of Computer Application is a three year full time regular degree course of Bangalore University. This is not an ordinary computer certificate course but a University degree, which is acceptable in Government, Multinational, Corporate and all other sectors. On completing this course one can work as a computer professional or do higher studies such as MCA, MBA etc. in any UGC recognized Universities or in any other reputed institution in India or abroad.

BCA course curriculum includes Technical English and Report Writing, Mathematical Foundations, Programming in C ,Computer organisation & Microprocessors, Probability in Staistics, C Programming lab , Assembly Language Programming, Business Communication and Personality Development, Data Structure using C, Business Data Processing using COBOL, System Analysis and Design, COBOL lab, Database Management System ,ObjectOriented Programme using C++, System Software ,Operating System ,Computer Oriented Numerical Methods and Linear Programming.Training for students in latest developments in the field of Information Technology Industry is also encouraged.Work experience on internet and E-Commerce are provided.
