Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering

The Course of Mechanical Engineering offers a 4 years (8 semesters) and has an intake of 120 students. Masters Degree programme in Industrial Automation and Robotics (IA&R) was started during the year 2004. The National Board of Accreditation has accredited the department for three years in the year 2004. The department has an excellent faculty with many active researchers. The department has developed good contacts with industries like BEML, NAL, HAL, BHEL, MICO and many others and many students take up their project works in these industries.

All the laboratories in the department are approved for carrying out research leading to and Ph.D/M.Sc, (Engg) by research degree by VTU, Belgaum. So far 05 scholars have completed their Ph.D degree and currently, there are 20 Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) Scholars pursuing their research work in the department.
