It was rated as the Best Commerce College of the Gujarat State and given an award of Rs. 50,000/- by the Gujarat Government in 1985.
Vallabh Vidyanagar was founded in 1946, when everyone in India had already begun to feel the strong fervour of freedom. The founders of Vallabh Vidyanagar had a grand vision -- progress for the society through education for the youth of rural India. Our founders had as their model the famous educational townships of Takshila and Nalanda, from the Golden Age in the history of India.
