Bachelor of Dental Surgery

Didactic Programme :
Starting from 1st year to 3rd year, the students are taught various Medical and Dental subjects such as Human Anatomy & embryology, Human Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Dental materials, General & Dental Pharmacology, General Pathology, Microbiology, Dental Anatomy & Oral Histology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesiology, Oral Pathology by the experienced Medical and Dental faculty. Also the students are exposed to other Medical specialty subjects such as Dermatology, ENT, Orthopedics, Gyn & Obs, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry etc. in the 3rd BDS course. The first two years are called PRE-CLINICAL years where in the student learns, apart from the Medical subjects, about the fundamentals of teeth & their associated structures in the entire facio-stomato-gnathic system as well as the head and neck region. In the 4th/ final BDS, We studeks are trained purely in Dental subjects comprising of Prosthodontics, Periodontics, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontica.Oro! Medicine & Radiology, Oral & K8ooi!!o'fmcia! Surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Preventive & Community Dentistry, Ethics and Jurisprudence.
