Bachelor Of Dental Surgery

The B.D.S. degree course is taught in two stages of study. In the first and second year B.D.S. course, only the pre-clinical subjects are taught. From the third year onwards, the clinical subjects are taught. During the clinical study the students shall attend the clinics also for the study in the respective medical and dental subjects.The total duration of the B.D.S. course is five years- that is four academic years and twelve months of compulsory rotatory internship.

I. B.D.S. Examination:-

1. General Human Anatomy including Embryology & Histology
2. General Human Physiology & Bio-chemistry, Nutrition & Dietics
3. Dental Materials

II. B.D.S. Examination:-

1. General Pathology & Microbiology
2. General & Dental Pharmacology & Therapeutics
3. Human Oral Anatomy including Embryology, Histology and Oral Physiology
4. Pre-clinical Prosthodontics
5. Pre-Clinical Conservative Dentistry

III B.D.S. Examination:-

1. General Medicine
2. General Surgery
3. Oral Pathology & Microbiology
4. Preventive & Community Dentistry

IV B.D.S. Examination:- subjects at the end of IV year

1. Oral Medicine & Radiology
2. Orthodontics
3. Pedodontics
4. Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge
5. Conservative Dentistry including Endodontics
6. Oral Surgery
7. Periodontics
