ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program prepares students for careers in the modern world of dental practice by combining clinical studies with basic and advanced dental sciences. Once students have mastered basic competencies in the Institutes skills laboratories, they rapidly move on to treating patients in both the Dental Hospital and local outreach clinics.

The SGI Dental Surgery program develops skilled and progressive oral practitioners. The practice of dentistry may be defined as the science and art of preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth, jaws and mouth.

BDS is a five-year course divided into five semester of one year each followed by one year of rotating internship. We, at Hindutan school of dental sciences basic course for being a Dentist is Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Science (BDS). The minimum requirement for BDS courses is 10+2 pass in Science with Biology as an option. Selection to the BDS courses is made through an entrance test.
