Baggage Improvement Program

Each Year the messing up of baggages is a US$3.3 billion dollar trouble for the industry. affecting forty-two million travelers yearly & is the 2nd most significant reason in having a pleasant trip, as per IATA CATS research.
The main aim of BIP is to provide the industry with solutions that refers all causes of baggage mishandlings. BIP will imply the solutions to two hundred airports all over the world in between now & 2012. Once implemented, BIP solutions willhelp the industry to prevent the loss of US$1.9 billion yearly
IATA Board 2011 objectives:
· A total number of sixty airport diagnosis visits & seventy airports taking parts in the BIP self-help programs
