Program Overview
This program consists of lectures, practical sessions and tutorials given by experts in intensive care, with emphasis on a practical approach to the management of critically sick patients.

In this training program, candidates will be able to understand:

* Cricothyroidotomy and infant airway
* Acute respiratory problems
* Mechanical ventilation
* Basic haemodynamic monitoring
* Learn how to manage shock
* Severe trauma
* Intercostal catheters
* Transportation of critical patients
* Severe trauma
* Neurological emergencies
* Orientation to simulation
* Be able to provide CPR
* Arrythmia's
* Venous thromboembolism
* Stress ulcer
* CPR scenarios
* Learn how to deal with different types of heart problems
* Poisoning, metabolic

The candidates can complete this program within 2 days

Who can attend this program?
The program designed for medical and nursing staff who have little experience in intensive care but who are called to assist in the management of critically ill patients. This includes General Practitioners, Rural physicians, Surgeons, Anaesthetists and Nurses
