Anyone who has passed or has a good understanding of the Level 1 course.  If you are unsure of your suitability please contact the college prior to enrolling.

Entry qualifications

Level 1 British Sign Language. 
All learners who have failed their Level 1 exam and will be resitting prior to this improvers course are welcome to join.

This is not suitable for beginners

An improvers course building on the skills and vocabularly learnt at Level 1

Course content

These courses are split into 3 terms, and although they are designed to progress students from one term to the next, they are also stand-alone courses therefore at the beginning of each new course items will be re-capped for new students.

The following will be covered but not necessarily all areas in all courses, this is subject to the abilities and needs of the students enrolled and the tutor teaching the course:

Receptive Skills
Productive Skills
Conversational Skills

Additionality

Please bring a pen, pencil and A4 folder and paper.
This is a leisure course, therefore there are no exams.

Assessment

No formal assessment.

Progression

Progression and further learning opportunities will be discussed with the course tutor during the course.

Payment options: UK/EU Fee : £90.00 Overseas Fee : £140.00 Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
