The CCIE Security Programs is recognition for those who have the knowledge and skills to implement, maintain and support extensive Cisco Network Security Solutions using the latest industry best practices and technologies.
CCIE- Security certification indicates expert knowledge of security and VPN solutions and a thorough understanding of various operating systems such as Windows, Unix, Linux apart from application services such as HTTP, SMTP, FTP and DNS.
Although core IP routing is not the focus, candidates must demonstrate in-depth understanding of Layer 2 and 3 network infrastructure. They should be capable of configuring complex, end-to-end secure networks, troubleshooting integrated environments, and understanding common attacks and mitigation techniques.
