Introduction : Use of Internet, e-mail, newsgroup, IP addresses, FTP, Telnet, Definition of a computer, characteristics of a computer, Block diagram, Major I/O devices (Input devices : keyboard, mouse, digital camera, scanners).

Output Devices : Monitor, Dot Matrix Printers, Inkjet Printer, Laser Printer.
Storage Devices : Hard Disk, Floppy Drive, CD, DVD.
Modem, Hub, Switch, Newtorks, LAN, MAN, WAN, Internet work, Data representation, Number Systems.

OS : Introduction to Windows 98, Ms-Word, functions of OS, Multi-user, Multitasking, Multiprogramming and their examples.
Practical : HTML, Internet

Introduction to Computer : Definition, Basic concepts, Various applications, I/O Memory, CPU.
Introduction to Operating System (MS DOS, WIN’98/2000/NT) : Various features & difference between all operating systems, Major functions of all operating system.
Main properties of Multimedia System :
Definition, Combination of media, communication system, audio format, Image & Graphics, Speech generation and its analysis & transmissions.

Adobe Photoshop : Introduction to graphics, vector graphics, bit maps, understanding image size and its resolutions, concept of path (segment, anchor, curved, closed, open, sub path), working with Photoshop tools, importing and exporting images, working with layers, channels and paths, action, history using navigator and Photoshop plug-ins.

Corel Draw : Using Menus, standard toolbar, property bar and dialog box, Drawing rectangles, ellipses, polygons, stars, spirals, Drawing lines of all shapes and sizes, creating and Manipulating text, selecting and transforming objects, shaping objects, filling objects, weld intersection and trimming, aligning, coping and pasting and cloning, blending, page set up and printing.
