Certificate in GIS

The duration of the course Certificate in GIS is of three months. The minimum qualification required for getting admission in this programme is a bachelor degree in Sc, Arts and Engineering from recognised institutions in India or abroad and the total percentage required is 45%. If the candidates have knowledge in the area of mappings & computer operations, then it will be an advantage for them. The course includes disciplines like Geography, Geology, Environment, Computers and Information Science, Civil Engineering, Planning & Architecture and others. But the fulfilment of the criteria doesn't mean admission.

The process of admission:

The admission is based on merit list in the entrance examination. The entrance exam is of two hours and includes 100 questions of 100 marks. This is divided into 4 sections like Geography, Computers, General Knowledge and Logic & Reasoning. Each sections consist of 25 marks each. The medium of the exam is in english. The questions are MCQ types. MCQ consist of four questions and there are four answers. Students have top tick the right answers. Minimum percentage required for selection is 45%.Each MCQ will consist of a stem which may be in the form of a question or an incomplete statements & 4 responses labeled A, B, C & D. One of the 4 responses only is the correct or most appropriate answer
