Course programme
The Programme is offered in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals
Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF). This is a full-time
programme.
The objective of this Programme is to train manpower for the following job positions for hospitals and healthcare organizations: Ward Secretary, Front Office staff, Patient Care Executive etc, and other supportive roles required in a hospital and healthcare environment. Currently, candidates are recruited and hands-on training is imparted in all the above chores by existing senior staff, sometimes incompletely and ineffectively. There is no formal, comprehensive, holistic and scientific training program available in the country to train them. The need for such programs arises from the unique nature of the hospital and healthcare environment. Hospital administrative assistantship is a profession. It requires certain personal qualities and abilities, professional skills, adequate preparation and training. It takes time and practice to develop the personal and physical qualities, skills and knowledge needed. The Programme consists of both theoretical and practical components, which would give the students the required theoretical and hands-on experience required to be able to perform the duties of hospital administrative assistants. This programme would help in developing professional manpower for the supportive roles in a hospital and thus would help in enhancing the quality of hospital services.
Programme Structure:
The courses are designed on the basis of learning hours required by an average student. The design of the CHAA programme in terms of credit distribution of the courses is shown below.
Personality and skills development
Management of Health insurance
