The capability for constant learning is considered crucial for the survival of individuals, groups and organizations. This program will explore the theme of learning at all these levels and how specific actions, systems and processes can enhance this capability. Participants will be exposed to issues related to various learning styles, methodologies, and learning designs. They will explore ways of facilitating knowledge acquisition and sharing through various devices, assessing the impact of learning interventions at various levels, and steering the organization towards a learning culture.
-Pedagogy:
A variety of interactive methods including case analysis, classroom discussions, group projects and exercises would be used to facilitate learning.

-Programme Director:
Prof. Jacob D Vakkayil is attached to the behavioral sciences area of the Institute. His teaching and research interests center on the themes of collaboration, knowledge, and learning in organizations. He is especially interested in examining these in the context of complex work settings involving multiple boundaries and diverse relationships of individuals and teams. His recent works have appeared in Journal of Research Practice, Learning Inquiry, M@n@gement and Journal of Management Inquiry. Before taking up his current position at IIM Calcutta, he has worked in premier institutions in India such as Doon School Dehra Dun, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, and Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar. He has vast experience in training and consulting with companies in both public and private sectors.
-Arrival/Departure:
For the participants, accommodation is arranged from the evening of the day before the programme. Participants are requested to report at the Reception Desk of Tata Hall latest by 9.00 a.m. on the first day of the Programme. Reception of Tata Hall is manned round the clock.
The Programme is expected to be over by 2. 00 p.m. on the last day of the Programme. The participants are requested/expected to make their travel plan accordingly.
