Course in Bharatnatyam

Bharatanatyam Dance is one of the earliest forms of dance in India. The art was given down as an existing ritual from one age group to another under the Devadaasi structure under which females were devoted to temples to serve up the god as dancers and musicians creating part of the detailed rituals. These extremely brilliant artists and the male-gurus (nattuvanaars) were the only repository of the art until the early on twentieth century when a restitution of interest in Indian cultural inheritance encouraged the cultured privileged to determine its loveliness.
Bharatanatyam classes are held for Basic level, Intermediate level and Advanced level. We start teaching the foundation program with Pushpaanjali, Jatiiswaram and move-on to the higher stages and composition based on the candidate’s pick-up of the dance structure. The program has been created keeping in mind the program curriculum of various universities. The candidates are educated in the Dance hypothesis, Abhinayaa and Addavus.
