The course train students how to design, install and configure an HACMP cluster on AIX version using HACMP. The course contains a high extent of practical work undertaken in small workgroups. The course is basically designed to teach students the latest features in HACMP. The course covers sophisticated system monitoring and safeguarding for production workloads and relocation to HACMP, the fast track to System Expert qualifications.
Students will learn how to determine the configuration of a cluster, its status, how to monitor an active cluster with standard AIX commands and HACMP utilities, the uses of HACMP's tools, perform system administration in a highly available cluster.
The objective of the course consists of preface to HACMP for AIX 5L, networking considerations for high accessibility, shared storage considerations, planning for applications and supply groups, HACMP installation, initial cluster arrangement, vital HACMP administration, proceedings, integrating NFS into HACMP, problem resolve and recuperation etc. Students will increase advanced information that will be vital when building and/or administering complex HACMP configurations.
