COURSE OBJECTIVES The main objectives of the course would be to: - Explore the critical concerns and issues involved in tourism industry and other related industries. - Understand the rich cultural heritage of India. - Generate new ideas to achieve diversification of tourism products, packages and circuits. - Achieve qualitative and quantitative changes in tourism packages. - Appreciate critical environmental dimensions in promoting and sustaining the quality and diversity of the cultural tourism resources. LEARNING METHODOLOGY The learning would consist of lectures, discussions, screening of videotapes, project work involving visits to culturally significant places and tourism industry related establishments, interaction with leading tourism professionals. EVALUATION Evaluation will be done on the basis of project work, group work, assignments, idea development project and website related assignment.
