This English course is intended for medical experts. Presently, the Occupational English Test evaluates the below mentioned specialists like:

This OET test includes English reading, speaking, listening and writing. To read and to listen is universal for all specializations but speaking & writing is very job specific. For instance, doctors, nurses and dentists write prescriptions and other reference write ups. Nowadays, OET has been accepted as a Customary English Exam in nations like New Zealand and Australia.

Programme Duration: This course can be accomplished in 1-month. As the concerned subject area is related to English language, the entire course will deal with the proper usage of appropriate words, sentence construction, vocabulary and tenses. Those who do not have sound language skills are referred to enroll in separate English classes before they attempt for the test. It will boost up their confidence level for the actual test.

All the medical specialists that have pointed out above can apply for this OET if they aspire to go abroad. The test will be having four segments:

* Listening: This section consumes 60 minutes. Here, students are made to listen to the general medical related passages. This section is further divided into two levels. After reading every section, a pause is given for writing down the answers but before that, all the guidelines must be read carefully. Students are provided adequate time to pen down their answers.

* Reading: This section also consumes 60 minutes. This category includes two passages each one of which acquires 30 minutes. It’s a multiple choice part where single passage is followed by 10 to 12 questions. No minus marking for incorrect answers but correct answers will definitely improve the total scoring.

* Writing: This section consumes 45 minutes. It’s a field specific test and the given time will be same for all specializations. This test is taken in order to test the writing skills of the candidate. This test emphasizes on the early and present case background of the patient and recommendation write ups must have every important details of the patient. Along with that, there must not be any grammar related errors like tenses, content flow etc.

* Speaking: This section consumes 25 minutes. This round is very specific to the profession. It begins with a warm up exercise after which 2 levels of role play happens. Patient will be the interviewer as well as the role play of the candidate.
