Course in Odissi Dance – Advance Level

The duration of the program is for 3-years. The classes are mainly held on Tuesdays and Fridays. Classes are taken by Mr ShashiKant Nayak. This program consists of Visharad level. The classes are held in institute itself.
Visharad
Theory:
1. Complete-knowledge of the course set in practical.
2. Learning of Natya-Shastra, Abhinaya-Darpan and Abhinaya-chandrika.
3. Information of other Indian Classical Dances like Bharatnatyam-Kathak-Kathakali-Manipuri-and-Kuchipudi.
4. Geet-govinda and Kavi-Jayadeva - Thematic and life-history (Legends and History) of Jaya-deva.
Practical:
1. Jaati-Hasta in accordance to Abhinaya-Darpan.
2. Drishti-veda (eye-movements) and its usage in accordance to Abhinaya-Darpana.
3. Utplavana-Veda and its usage in accordance to Abhinaya-Darpana
