Electrical Engineering - The department started undergraduate course in
Electrical Engineering in 1960 and M.Tech corse in Industrial Power
System in 1965.Since inception the department is contionously
contributing novel and innovative ideas in Electrical Engineering to
keep pace with the latest technological developments.The department
regularly organise invited lectures by experts from industries in
various fileds of Electrical Engineering.
CONSULTANCY WORK :
The faculty members of the department are presently engaged in research in various fields
A detail of the which is furnished below:
· Virtual Instrumentation of industrial processes such as flow, pressure, temperature.
· Power Quality analysis
· Optimization in E-Governance
· All novel optimization techniques applied to various aspects of Deregulated Power Systems.
· Parallel and hierchial computations in electrical power systems.
· Simulation of magnetic field in power lines and human environment.
· On-line monitoring of partial discharges in transformer by laser technology.
· Electric Curing of concrete materials.
· Design, analysis & of Matrix Converter using DSP.
· Design & analysis of switched reluctance motor drives using DSP
· Partial discharge measurement using optical technique
