Course in Veritas NetBackup 6.5 Administration

In this course students will be provided training on the functionality of Veritas Net Backup 6.x software. This course is intended for students who want to gain information of the general principle of using NetBackup. The course also trains students how to develop and apply a storage management plan. Students learn how to install, configure, operate and manage NetBackup. This course makes students able for NetBackup fundamentals, installation of NetBackup, configuring devices, storage units, media etc. After successfully completing the course, students will learn how to elucidate NetBackup backs up and restores data, add robots and drives, configure storage units, storage unit groups, volumes, and volume pools, manage volumes etc. They will also be trained to construct policy attributes and schedules, recognize the accessible strategy types. They learn to define which files, directories, and clients to back up.
The course as well teaches how to monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs, restore files and monitor restore jobs, verify, duplicate, expire, and import backup images. They learn how to perform maintenance on NetBackup environment, configure multiple data streams, multiplexing, artificial backups, right image restores, and checkpoint restart, configure media groups and media ownership for media distribution.
